- Have you read ALL of the pages on this website?
- Do you have the exclusive use of a car or bicycle 5.30pm-8.30pm weekday evenings?
- Are you available to do the work for at least 6 weeks?
- Are you fit and energetic enough to enjoy walking briskly 1-2 miles each evening in all but the worst of weathers?
- Do you have a general interest in, or sympathy for, wildlife habitat conservation and or environmental issues? (you don’t need to be an expert or specialist!)
- Do you have a working email address?
- Are you fluent in English?
- Are you aware that the work, earnings (beyond the hourly rate) and sometimes the hours from this job can be unpredictable?
- If you are claiming benefits of any kind, have you seriously considered how earnings from this job will affect your entitlements?
- Do you have an outgoing, good-humoured, optimistic nature?
- Are you self-motivated and self-sufficient, and do you enjoy a challenge?
- Are you organised enough to manage your own time and undertake elementary paperwork?
- Can you work on your own, from your home base, without immediate colleagues and without close supervision from a “boss”?
- Are you open minded – and able to deal with a wide variety of people and situations without prejudice?
- Are you OK with dogs? (we ask, because meeting dogs is an inevitable part of house-calling)
